The kilts are packed and the caber is in the boot. We're off to the Allergy & Free From Show Scotland!
Posted: 29 Feb 2016
You spoke, and they listened because in a few weeks time the first ever *drum roll, dramatic pause* Allergy & Free From Show in Scotland is launching! Yep. The largest Free From event in Europe just got even bigger. The Scottish show is set to open at the SECC in Glasgow on March 19th and freefromers have two days to explore all that it has to offer.
In case you've been sheltering under a rock and have never been to an allergy show, I've put together this short video to give you a taster of what's in store for the Glasgow show.
Allergy Adventures will be at the show. Come and join the fun!
Back by popular demand will be the Allergy Adventures' Fact Find Hunt, sponsored by Feel Free, granoVita, and Tesco Free From. The Fact Find Hunt allows parents and carers to enjoy the show by keeping children happy and occupied. High five to that.
Children joining the hunt need to find four clues hidden around the show, report back to the Allergy Adventures' stand and claim their FREE, colourful activity poster. They'll also be in with a chance of winning a box of allergy friendly craft materials created by this lovely lot - Brian Clegg.
Also: at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on both days I'll be hosting story time. It's a not-to-be-missed moment. Not just because you'll see me jumping around like a fool doing the Beetroot Monkey dance, but because your child will love it. Which kid doesn't love watching a grown-up making a fool of themselves?
The Paper Plate Mates are back!
An allergy show wouldn't be an allergy show without the Paper Plate Mates! Across the two days, children can tap into their creative side and get stuck into some crafts on my stand. And the good news is, I've been working on some Easter-themed designs to keep your budding Van Gogh happy.
Other treats in store at the show
There'll be tons of freebies and bargains, so remember to bring shopping bags for all your loot. Or even someone just to carry your bags!
There is also a Learning Centre at the show. It's your chance to attend talks given by UK experts in allergies, coeliac disease, eczema and asthma. Plus, admission is free.
Other not-to-be-missed parts of the show include:
• Sainsbury's kitchen offering free from cooking classes
• Feel Free dishing up their freshly-made mini GF doughnuts (drool)
• Tesco are unveiling their new-look free from packaging PLUS they are also launching a range of new products including dairy-free real fruit splits. Roll on the sunshine!
So to end this post on a high, I've got a link for some FREE tickets. Block out your diaries people for the 19th or 20th March and download your free ticket here.
And if you do come to the show, please come and say hi! You can't miss us - we're the bright yellow stand surrounded by a sea of kids!comments powered by Disqus
